Miscellany

I hope you enjoy this,my first solo exhibition.
Why Miscellany? Because I have no one style of painting. I prefer to create images of whatever appeals to me at the time, be it flowers, landscapes, fantasy, sci-fi, wildlife - or even teddy bears!
This exhibition will have it all.
There's more to view on my website http://www.lyndacrafts.co.uk which also includes my textile work and greeting cards.

Sweet Sensations

My work is a celebration of people, places and objects. My paintings are a catalogue of ‘my’ sweet sensations through the medium of acrylic paint , I have painted images that have stimulated me or that I have found simply appealing from old 1940’s family photographs, a series of cup cakes and a assortment of flowers. The subject matter I have chosen has enabled me to express myself using the vibrancy of colour they exhibit. I enjoy painting with strong clean flowing colours.
My latest work is gravitating more towards landscape and seascape, I enjoy trying to incorporating as many varied techniques with the paint by trying to create a print like quality and overlaying the paint. my focus is trying to capture the movement, tranquillity and changeability displayed in landscapes and water settings while focusing on reflection. shadow and light that scenery naturally creates.
